"Wish upon a star" they say, "and your wish will come true"
If only I could wish today to always be with you.
But, you're so far away from me, the miles keep us apart
So, tell me how could it be, you still command my heart?
The memories I have of you, still make me smile and cry
So I'll wish upon a star for you, up in the night-time sky
If my wish upon the star, does fade with time and grace,
And the days pull from my heart, the memory of your face,
I'll cry a tear for every mile that has pulled me away from you,
and stole from me, your precious smile and everything you do.
So I'll keep on wishing, in the night, upon that faithful star.
That the miles that hold, so tight, you, from me, so far.
And release our love to travel, to a shining place,
