I may not wear the latest fashions
Or have a mansion on yonder shore
Or diamonds on both my hands
For everyone to adore
But yet, I’m so very rich
How could I ask for more?
All my jewels and riches
I store deep within my heart
The joy that they bring to me,
never to depart

Because today my child,
brought me a bouquet
Most people would see as weeds
But in my eyes, I would have to say
It’s the most beautiful bouquet, indeed
Today my child gave me a smile
That seem to light the room
Shining rays of purest silver
Saying, “Mama, I Love You”

Today my child gave me a warm embrace
As little arms, squeezed me tight
Gently kissing me on the cheek
As I said, “Sweet dreams and good night.”
There are no riches I can think of
That can warm the heart and soul
Like the love, of a little child
Their embrace as pure as gold

Today my child gave these gifts to me
So generously given with love
Before I tuck myself in bed
I Thank the Lord above
For giving me this priceless gift
That I can share life with every day

And yes, I’m so very rich,
Beyond any earthly measure
Because in my heart and arms,
Is where I hold these treasures
